Can Postbutter get my Instagram account banned?
Postbutter only uses what Instagram officially offers to apps: you connect through Instagram’s own login, and messages follow Instagram’s rules (replies only to people who contacted you, within 24 hours). Nothing scrapes your account or logs in as you.
Will my DMs sound like a robot?
You write the messages, in your words. AI replies only use what you tell it and your chosen tone, and you can keep them as drafts to check before anything is sent.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Pick a template, choose a keyword and write your message. Most creators are live in about five minutes, and you can test on real comments first.
Do I need a special Instagram account?
Yes, a Creator or Business account. Personal accounts can’t share data with apps. Switching is free in Instagram’s settings and takes a minute.
Can Postbutter DM my followers or people who didn’t contact me?
No. Instagram only allows messages to people who reached out first, for example by commenting on your Reel, replying to your story or sending you a DM. Postbutter follows those rules and never sends cold DMs.
Is my account safe?
You approve access on Instagram’s own screen; we never see your password. You can disconnect any time from Settings, which revokes access right away.
What happens if my Reel goes viral?
Every comment still gets its DM, and your price stays the same however many people comment. Pro covers 25,000 DMs a month, Creator 50,000 and Premium 100,000. If you go past that, you choose: pause automations at the limit, or keep going at $0.50 per 1,000 extra DMs up to a spending cap you set. Postbutter warns you in the app when you reach 80%.
Why is Postbutter cheaper than ManyChat?
ManyChat charges for every person who interacts with you, so its price climbs as a Reel takes off. Postbutter charges a flat monthly price with plenty of DMs included. For a creator with 1,000 to 25,000 people commenting a month, that’s usually 50 to 90% less (public price lists, October 2026).
What counts as an automated DM?
Every message sent for you: comment-to-DM replies, flow messages and inbox replies. Your plan includes a monthly allowance; at the limit, automations pause unless you turn on overage.
Where do the numbers come from?
Straight from Instagram. If Instagram doesn’t report a metric for a Reel or a day, we show it as missing rather than guessing.
Can I see my full follower list or who viewed my Reels?
No app can. Instagram doesn’t share follower lists or viewer identities. Your audience in Postbutter is everyone who interacted with you: commented, messaged or clicked.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Plan and billing. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
